PostHeaderIcon The Best Use of CSS and Xslt

W3C has defined two standards stylesheet for use with Web-CSS and XSLT. CSS is the older of the two and is most often used with HTML. Although CSS can be used with XML, XSLT is usually chosen as the style with the most potential. Although CSS and XSLT can both be used simultaneously with XML, the style is usually XSLT when only one is used. An example of a collection that would be nice accessed using XML and XSLT are the historical novels. Instead of showing all the information without focusing on specific relationships, certain combinations are more useful and make this collection more accessible through several web pages, one for each key combination of facts. It may be that the “items by author” is important and it may be that the collections in each period is important. Either way, just need an XML document to be preserved while an XSLT stylesheet would produce a different view for each combination requested by the user. Another scenario where XML and XSLT is an excellent tool for accessing specific collections of information in the form of a book. A book is a highly structured object, which is why XML and XSLT are good candidates to display content in a variety of ways. Both personal computers and personal electronic devices will soon show the XML-encoded books, and the Open eBook Forum has already issued a standardized method of encoding e-books in XML and in particular to provide an easy method of exchanging books on reading units. An interesting example of the collection available in XML using XSLT is when documents are converted from hand-written notes is too illegible to determine some of the words. The words which are not specifically known to be marked with an “ambiguous” tag and XSLT can display those words in a specific color. Sustainable and long-term collections are currently being built using XML, which is both more searchable and compatible with future technologies. He uses an analogy sandcastles to show their ideas about XML. After the castle has been washed away by future technology, data, (sand grains) will still exist. XML is like a shovel and bucket, which makes conversion easy and flexible. Another aspect of Web design that focuses on the issue of access is a CGI directory. The Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is a link between the user of the site and server running on the site. It allows for interaction between site and user in the form of forms to collect information. This information is sent to the CGI directory where a script typically performs a function with the data collected. If a Webmaster want to make programs run from a Web site, the CGI directory must be at home in the program. These programs may include counting the number of hits, monitor web traffic, set and read cookies, and tabular information on the browser or operating system.
