Tables Vs Css – Which is Better?
When I began to explore the design possibilities of the Internet in 1996, was NetObjects Fusion (at this point) a revolutionary WYSIWYG editor that makes you put virtually all components anywhere on your page. Sorry for Website Pros, Inc., Macromedia had also seen the potential in the WYSIWYG editor, and developed what is arguably the most popular web design tools Dreamweaver ever. Dreamweaver has managed to keep pace with the requirements of modern web developers who continually update and improve aspects of its design, layout and functionality. With the latest version of Macromedia Dreamweaver has improved again in different functions, but has also begun to recognize the potential and the need to support (in detail) the new artist’s technique Cascade Style Sheets (CSS). Has always been designed with the help of table-based layouts, I recently (less than 3 months ago actually) that it was time to look at the CSS, to learn what you can do to improve the quality of my work, especially in terms of positioning and layout of the site elements. At that time I already had a basic understanding of CSS and how to use CSS to affect text styling, link styles, colors, tables and borders, etc. The challenge was (clearly) to see if the design layout with CSS instead of tables for each (to me) easier and more beneficial it could not get me to change, despite my involvement in the tables? My choice of two books (which I still view the other), are both written and published by SitePoint. The first (CSS Anthology 101 Essential Tips, Tricks & Hacks) is an excellent practical guide, not only for beginners but also for people (like me) who want to learn a bit more (or in fact much more) about the potential of CSS. Whether you want to know how to justify text, create a pure CSS drop-down menu or conduct a fluid, two-column layout, this book is an excellent introduction or continuation of all those interested in CSS. The second and probably more relevant book I chose (again, Sitepoint) is the 2nd Edition HTML Utopia: Designing without tables using CSS. This book goes back over the basics of CSS, but in a more succinct and concise manor. The bulk of the book focuses on more examples of positioning and layout. In short, these are two books I know I’m eventually going to read from cover to cover two books that will always be at hand and give the answer to my question when something goes wrong or I do not really understand what I “m doing (something that occur on a regular basis). So what I have learned in recent months from reading these books, reading relational web site articles and listen to people’s views on the webmaster forum? Quite simply, I was pretty stubborn in the beginning. I had tried about a year ago to use CSS for layout, but had not got very far (although at that stage I had no books to use as reference). This time, I had the knowledge (or rather books of knowledge), but was already having my own personal failure (based on my past experience). Fortunately I stuck with it and now know much more (although obviously not everything by a long shot) on the potential of CSS. Apparently (just look at my page) you can see how much I have changed from table-based layouts to CSS layouts, but what really changed my mind and I would ever come back to the table? This page is simply an off?
Starting with WordPress…
Everyone today is talking about Blogingâ¦What is a Blogâ¦. . I would simply say its a web-presence where you can put your thoughts. To set up a blog, you need to register with a free blogger like Blogger or WordPress or if you are techy like me install wordpress on your own hosing account. Blogger used to be a popular blogger before it was purchased by Google. The good news is that Blogger is free, as most of google services and you can get your blog running in monutes. WordPress is my choice for a free blogger. First its open source and I love open source software, becuase its supported by a huge number of bloggers like me. The other end is that WordPress is not only feature rich you can extend its functionality by installing themes and plugins. For more information, visit WordPress. org Now lets talk about 2 ways to get a WordPress blog up and running: WordPress. com ( Free Sign Up!, Online Documentation, Quick Setup, No Tech Knowledge Required) WordPress. org (Need a Domain and Hosting accounts, Documentation Available, Need some Tech Knowledge) WORDPRESS. So where is my blog hosted, the answer would be on wordpress. com servers, why would they host my blog on their servers for free. Any blog would have visitors, so your blog would also have visitors. More visitors to your blog would result in more clicks on the ADs that are displayed on your blog which would generate revenu for wordpress. com. The limitation of using wordpress. com would be you canât install themes and plugins. WORDPRESS. ORG If you have a hosting account with GoDaddy. com you can host wordpress using your own domain. 3 Easy steps Step 1: Go to WordPress. org and download the latest release of WordPress installation files.
